Robert E. Kim, CPA

 

Robert was born in Seoul, Korea and immigrated with his family to Guam, USA at the age of 10. He lived in Guam for 6 years before moving to Palos Verdes Peninsula and attending Rolling Hills High School where he participated in Varsity Tennis. After high school, Robert attended UCLA from 1980-1984 and majored in economics. He passed the CPA exam during his senior year. After graduating UCLA in June, 1984, Robert started working in the audit and tax department at Deloitte Touche, LLP, one of today’s Big 4 accounting firms. In 1986, Robert received his CPA license. He decided to be independent and open his own accounting firm in 1990 on the hill of Palos Verdes. 

As of February, 2016, he is 55 years young and presently a hard core Padel player. Robert has been married to Sheena, a retired pharmacist who is now attending Golden Gate Seminary full-time and serving in the Youth Ministry at their local church. Robert and Sheena have two kids, Matthew and Michelle. Robert currently serves as an Elder overseeing the English Ministry at Good Community Church of Torrance, a Korean-American church. Michael Fahmy 

 

Michael has lived in Torrance for most of his life. He went to West High School for 2 years before deciding to start at El Camino College at the early age of 15. There he pursued his interests in biochemistry and biomedical research and went on to transfer to University of California, San Diego where he graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry & Biochemistry in 2013. It was after college that Michael decided that he wanted to enter the public accounting and finance industry to work with a broad range of science and engineering based businesses. In 2015, Michael passed all four parts of the CPA exam on his first try, an accomplishment that only 10% of CPAs are able to achieve. Outside of work, Michael enjoys hiking across Southern California, surfing at the beach, and playing basketball.   

 

Matthew Kim 

 

Matt has been working as an accountant and bookkeeper for over 4 years. He went to South High School and graduated in 2011. After high school, Matthew has been studying accounting and law at El Camino College and is interested in pursuing higher education after transferring and earning his Bachelors Degree. Outside of work, Matthew enjoys reading various business books and getting together with friends.
